THIS.

Is my special fiancé when he's had a few too many chocolate martinis.

Please note the guitar solo he's attempting with a BOOK LIGHT. And my entirely too large sunglasses.

He definitely makes life more interesting. And entertaining.

Three years.

I rode down the escalator at LAX only to find my handsome man waiting for me with my luggage already in his hand.

I knew I picked a keeper.

Thanks for always taking care of me, Andrew. Happy 3 years!! :)

RIP Ms. Maxima

We had an amazing five years together. Four trips across country. Never missed a beat through two brutal winters in Michigan. Countless car washings. A couple maxima meets. A million trips down PCH with the sunroof back, of course. A few trips up to Northern Cali and even more down to San Diego. Ms. Maxima and I bonded. It was my first car, after all. I'm sad to see her go, but it was time.

What's next? Hopefully something that treats me as well as Ms. Maxima did.

One Year.

Dear Dexter,

You’ve only been in our lives for a year, but it seems like a lifetime. I can’t even remember what life was like before you. Oh wait, it was quiet and relaxing :P Just kidding! We wouldn’t have it any other way.

In the last year we have done an incredible amount of things, including:

Sleeping on my legs your first night home.
IMG_5019

Helping me read my Abnormal Psychology book.
IMG_5025

Grooming Daddy’s hair.

Playing video games.
IMG_5057

Hiding under a dresser you no longer fit under.

Going EVERYWHERE in my coat, including sneaking you into Walmart and Target.
IMG_5210

Dressing up in ridiculous clothing.
IMG_5216

IMG_5242

Eating snow.

The Fair!!

IMG_1665

The Orange County Fair has finally decided to grace us with its presence and this year’s theme is “Think. Big.” And boy, did we ever. At least, food wise ;) Who doesn’t love to EAT at the fair?! Honestly, we’re probably rookies, with only having one main dish each and splitting dessert, but whatever. It was yummy! Andy ordered a giant turkey leg topped off with side of onion rings, while I got the world’s largest corn dog. Actually, second largest. They also offered a $10 MASSIVE corn dog (mine was $8..hey, fair food isn’t cheap)!

After walking around the buildings, purchasing a fake hair flower, having a Russian lady clean my earrings, and finding a million things to put on THE list for our future home, we took a break to eat dessert. My favorite part! Every year it’s the same thing. Sometimes if we’re feeling spunky we’ll get two things, but always, always, always a cinnamon roll. They are the best ever and it should be illegal to go to the fair without having one.

Then it was time for the only ride we bother riding. La Grande Wheel. I don’t know why I always think it’s a good idea. That thing is HUGE. Like, for real. It’s the largest touring ferris wheel in North America. So why, why, why did I decide I wanted to ride it? I don’t know.

IMG_1777

It was exciting. Then it wasn’t. And finally, I had fun!

IMG_1778 IMG_1784 IMG_1785

And the view wasn’t so bad, either.

IMG_1797

We also saw the baby piglets. Soooo cute! I guess I should mention that we’ve been to the fair twice. We went opening night and the piggies were born just the previous day! They sure grow fast!

IMG_1671 IMG_1774

So the only reason we went to the fair on opening night, and I mean ONLY (Seriously, who goes on OPENING NIGHT?! Wayyy too crowded) was to see Heart perform. Who doesn’t love some good ol’ 80’s(ish) classic rock?! I’m pretty sure Ann had a blood pressure monitor attached to her left arm, but that didn’t stop her from singing her heart (ha..ha) out! I was a tad disappointed they didn’t play my favorite adulterous hooker song (All I Wanna Do…Is Make Love To You), but the rest of the show did not disappoint!

IMG_1667

All in all, the fair was a fantastic time, as usual. Now can it please go away so there’s less traffic on my drive home from work?
