The Orange County Fair has finally decided to grace us with its presence and this year’s theme is “Think. Big.” And boy, did we ever. At least, food wise ;) Who doesn’t love to EAT at the fair?! Honestly, we’re probably rookies, with only having one main dish each and splitting dessert, but whatever. It was yummy! Andy ordered a giant turkey leg topped off with side of onion rings, while I got the world’s largest corn dog. Actually, second largest. They also offered a $10 MASSIVE corn dog (mine was $8..hey, fair food isn’t cheap)!

After walking around the buildings, purchasing a fake hair flower, having a Russian lady clean my earrings, and finding a million things to put on THE list for our future home, we took a break to eat dessert. My favorite part! Every year it’s the same thing. Sometimes if we’re feeling spunky we’ll get two things, but always, always, always a cinnamon roll. They are the best ever and it should be illegal to go to the fair without having one.

Then it was time for the only ride we bother riding. La Grande Wheel. I don’t know why I always think it’s a good idea. That thing is HUGE. Like, for real. It’s the largest touring ferris wheel in North America. So why, why, why did I decide I wanted to ride it? I don’t know.

It was exciting. Then it wasn’t. And finally, I had fun!

And the view wasn’t so bad, either.

We also saw the baby piglets. Soooo cute! I guess I should mention that we’ve been to the fair twice. We went opening night and the piggies were born just the previous day! They sure grow fast!

So the only reason we went to the fair on opening night, and I mean ONLY (Seriously, who goes on OPENING NIGHT?! Wayyy too crowded) was to see Heart perform. Who doesn’t love some good ol’ 80’s(ish) classic rock?! I’m pretty sure Ann had a blood pressure monitor attached to her left arm, but that didn’t stop her from singing her heart (ha..ha) out! I was a tad disappointed they didn’t play my favorite adulterous hooker song (All I Wanna Do…Is Make Love To You), but the rest of the show did not disappoint!

All in all, the fair was a fantastic time, as usual. Now can it please go away so there’s less traffic on my drive home from work?
