Saturday morning I was on a MISSION to get donuts from Daily Dozen Doughnut Company. There were all kinds of crazy good reviews on Yelp (yes, I yelp EVERYTHING) and I knew we HAD to try these. We seemed to have walked up and down Pike Place Market twice and couldn’t find these freaking donuts. I was so frustrated I might have thrown a mini-fit. Once Andrew took charge, all was well and he led me to paradise. Or something like that. He found me donuts and I was a happy, happy girl. Seriously, go to Seattle and get these donuts. We may or may not have bought three dozen during our whole four day trip. May or may not. Who knows.

We spent the rest of the morning walking around Pike Place. We watched the fish throwing, found some other good eats, and searched for the gum wall (which we never found, and honestly, I’m not all that devastated about it).

Up until this point, I had only been wearing one pair of shoes. I only brought the shoes on my feet, so I really had no other option. My suitcase was the size of a shoebox, so there wasn’t really much room for anything. The shoes I was wearing were pretty comfortable boots, but they were only comfy for so long. They weren’t exactly hill climbing shoes by any means. Or street walking for 12 hours a day kind of shoes. So my feet kind of hurt. A lot. I decided we should go purchase some new shoes and oh what about those TOMS shoes that donate a pair to a country in need? Those sound cool. So I googled where to find them and all the sudden we were shopping in the Nordstrom flagship store. Um, amazing. I have never seen such a large shoe department in my whole life. I almost walked out because it was too overwhelming and there was NO WAY I was going to decide on one pair of shoes. Fortunately, Andrew had taken a seat and was patiently waiting, so I had time. And lucky for me, I happened to see a girl try on black glitter TOMS and was SOLD. Had to have those. The nice man helping me was also wearing TOMS and all the sudden Andrew had decided he wanted a pair as well. And that’s how we ended up with his and hers TOMS. We’re so disgusting, I know.
I kind of love them a lot.
When we got back to our room we were greeted by this little guy. We named him Tom. In honor of the shoes. I had read online that you can request a fish in your room, so before we headed out I asked for one. Such a neat touch!

Not much else happened Saturday. We had dinner at a really good restaurant, Palomino. We caught happy hour, which was fantastic! After dinner we retreated to the hotel, where I’m pretty sure there was more iPhone poker playing.
