Weekend/25

I seem to have a much greater appreciation for the weekends now that I’m working again. It seems like every weekend feels like the GREATEST! WEEKEND! EVER! It’s kind of nice, but what’s up with that?

Which means last weekend was fabulous. Friday we had some friends over for a BBQ in attempt to get rid of all the leftover food we had from the 4th. It was really nice catching up with my BFF. Saturday found us lounging in GM & GP's pool for the afternoon. Seriously, my happy place is floating on a raft in the pool. Don’t bother me, I’m sleeping. After we got home and cleaned up we headed out to dinner for pizza with a groupon I bought. It’s just like free food! Nevermind the fact that you paid for the coupon. Looove it. Then we went to the movies on another groupon-like coupon! Saw Horrible Bosses, which was funny. Wasn’t outstanding or anything like that, but it was funny. I really wanted to see Larry Crowne, but the timing didn’t work out. Sunday we found ourselves back at the pool floating around. We also stayed to play trivial pursuit with my grandparents. Dude. We suck at that game. My grandparents whooped us! We also spent some time organizing around the house. I convinced the mister to hang a belt rack/hook thing and a towel rack I’m using for my bracelets and necklaces. I also cleaned out the hall closet and everything is pretty again. There’s something about organizing, even just a little bit, that makes me feel so productive. And I really love the new hooks for my bracelets and necklaces. Much needed and I think it looks really nice next to my vanity table.

This week is going well and we’ve already started making plans for the coming weekend. We’re going to golf a new (to me) course and then have lunch at my favorite restaurant. I’m pretty excited already.

And because everything is better with pictures, here’s some of my birthday gifts! I may have turned the big 2-5 on July 1st. My husband seriously spoiled me. Not only did we go up to Northern California, but he also got me lots of gifts!

LOVE my new watch!

Date night birthday celebration! Um..also..the restaurant gave me a happy birthday BALLOON. Along with complimentary crème brulee. Clearly they know how to win my heart.

And PS..turning 25 got me a whopping 26 cent discount on my auto insurance every month. Thanks, State Farm! I thought 25 was a big deal?
