Molly got her stitches out today and the vet was very happy with her healing. She doesn't limp on her broken leg anymore and the wounds are healing well. We go back in two weeks for an xray to see the progress. I don't know if I mentioned it, but Molly is crate confined for at least a month. She kind of hates her life, but it's for the best. She was dead silent for a few hours after we got home, which made me laugh. She was so busy grooming herself now that the e-collar is gone. That makes her a little less ticked about life.
On a similar note..if taking two animals to the vet is the equivalent of taking two children to the doctor, I'm SO thankful I only want one child. Dex was in desperate need of a nail trim, so I took him with. Since he can't walk on tile I ended up carrying him. And Molly in the carrier. Which leaves no hands for anything..like you know, opening doors. Hah. Good times!
If you haven't tried iced pumpkin cookies, you haven't LIVED. I think I had like 6 today. Whoops. I'd link the recipe, but I'm on my phone. I got it from allrecipes.com though. They are AMAZING.
I had the most fabulous weekend! We went to our wedding site with dex on Saturday and happened to catch a wedding. We all laid in the park for a couple hours and watched the guests arrive and listened to the beginning of the wedding before we left. It was a gorgeous day, so it was nice to be outside. On Sunday, I met a coworker at the mall and did some damage. I freaking love shopping! Especially when I have someone to shop with.
How on Earth did I not know about Bath and Body Works candles? I actually haven't shopped there in probably 10 years. But these candles? OMG. They are fantastic. Marshmallow Fireside <3. I see more of these in my future.
Anniversary in ONE WEEK. I'm pretty excited, although I may be taking an early midterm that night. We'll celebrate the weekend after. I've got all my gifts ready to go :)
